100 years after the March on Rome, Georgia Meloni came to power in Italy. Almost 90 years after the Reichstag Fire, to everyone’s amazement, the US Capitol was assaulted by a mob of Trump supporters. 85 years after the Kristallnacht, hundreds of Bolsonaro supporters occupied the Brazilian Parliament refusing to accept the electoral results. And over 78 years after the victory over Nazi-fascism in the Second World War, we see a new blossoming of far right. All these events pose intriguing questions: Why? What’s under this new global reactionary wave? And, above all, can a new sort of neofacist totalitarianism emerge in the 21st century? This book analyzes in all its complexity this new reactionary wave–from Trump to Milei–that has been spreading in the world during the last years. To do so, part of the analysis arises from the long-standing crisis of Capitalism that, along with the climate emergency, paves the way for a perfect cocktail of social unrest. To the surprise of many, specially in the left, this unrest has lead to a reactionary wave. Far right ideologies have managed to form governments in many countries, and yet today they still pull electoral victories. “Trumpisms” not only tries to rigorously analyze the causes, characteristics and actors of the radical far right, but also tries to enrich the analysis with keys and proposals to fight it. It aims to be, all in all, an indispensable tool to face the battles to come against the Reactionary International.
