This 1st Seminary on discourse and political action is framed under the “interventional” activities developed by MIRCo, aiming at transforming the institutions and their discourses and that involves the citizenry in research activities and in knowledge transmission. In this first edition of the seminary, we have gathered a number of sessions with social sciences experts, discourse analysis and philosophy to disentangle the keys of the current political situation of the Community of Madrid and its future.

METHODOLOGY

In-person practical sessions with an introduction-theoretical framework to enable collective work. Two-hour sessions.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

  • To open a space to learn, argue and generate ideas on the discourse and political action in the Community of Madrid.
  • To produce “100 practical ideas to dispute the discursive hegemony of the Community of Madrid”. Each session will be summarized in 5-10 ideas with the participation of the attendees to the sessions, and also during the next days of each session.
  • To create a repository with the recordings of the sessions to promote discussions, reflections and the generation of proposals.
  • To open a common space for discussions with social and political agents to enrich the number of discourses that may be at stake in the next autonomous elections and beyond.
