The Philosophy and Languages Faculty in UAM Will host this fall the 1st edition of the course El caló en la Península Ibérica: gramática, usos y bases jurídico-políticas, in an online format. This course, spamming for a month and a half, will aim to promote the recognition and knowledge of the caló languages among professionals and interested people. Sessions will be in the Faculty but can accessed online.
These sessions will take place twice a week between October 1st and November 12th from 6PM to 8PM, in the Conference Room of the Philosophy and Languages Faculty (UAM). After a presentation, we shall discuss topics such as:
Lesson 1. Presentation of the course (2h).
Lesson 2. Sociolinguistics and linguistic policy in the Spanish state (2h).
Lesson 3. The caló and social inequality (2h).
Lesson 4. Intercultural communication (2h).
Lesson 5. Linguistic origins of caló (2h).
Lesson 6. Linguistics of caló (2h).
Lesson 7. Introduction to caló (14h).
