The MIRCo Visiting Researcher Alberto Bruzos (Princeton University) will be visiting UAM next April 23rd, at 3PM, in the Meetings Room (Module VII) of the Pholosphy and Languages Faculty (UAM).
We will have the chance to know about his research and experiences, in an conference under the title Del caló gitano al caló pachuco: ideologías lingüísticas sobre el habla lumpen (From the Roma caló to the Pachuco caló: linguistic ideologies on the lumpen talks). We will be able to know how different languages and varieties emerge from the most impoverished, excluded segments of societies, as well as the linguistic ideologies that revolve around them.
This activity is free to attend. It can also be followed online in this link. We can’t wait to see you!
