Next Thursday, May 7th, Associate Professor of Education Ragni Vik Johnsen (Artic University of Norway) will visit UAM to deliver a presentation under the title “Reimagining the Urban Arctic Space Through Art: An Analysis of Public and Performative Art in Tromsø.” The event will take place at 3:30 PM, in the Meetings’ Room of Module VII, in the Faculty of Philosophy and Languages.
In this session, Ragni Vik will present part of a project, aimed at investigating the semiotic landscape of the city of Tromsø/Romssa, in which she analyzes a work of art that addresses current semiotic transformations related to tourism and the decolonization processes affecting the indigenous Sami people.
