Following its inaugural session last November, the second edition of the Glotopolitical Research Seminar: Combating Inequalities through Critical Sociolinguistics and Pedagogy, organized by the Asturian Philology Seminar, will be held on May 15th. It will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Sala de Grados of the North Building of the Faculty of Teacher Education and Education at the University of Oviedo.
In this second edition, experts from different institutions and disciplines will come together to explore the potential of educational intervention and research to combat social inequalities. On this occasion, the MIRCo center will be represented by its director, Luisa M. Rojo, who will present the EquiLing project and participate, alongside Elisa García Mingo and Soraya Calvo González, in the roundtable discussion “Discourse, Power, and Inequalities: Challenges for Socio-Educational Intervention.” For more information on the program, please see the attachment at the end of this text.
