MIRCo member María Luisa de la Garza (UNICACH), together with Miriam Rosas (UNICACH), have published the article Artes para la re(ex/s)istencia Musicares desde Chiapas in the journal Laboratoria, as part of the ReDes_Ling project.
The open-access article documents the activist experiences of bilingual composers (in Tsotsil, Tzeltal, and Mam) from Chiapas. It explores the importance and significance of this type of activism, which leaves a social impact and serves as a catalyst for engaging with children and youth in the region.
This article is accompanied by a video featuring four composers: Jaciel de León Velázquez, Chuy, Miguel Kárkoma, and Sebsor.
